You turn my mourning into dancing
You turn my mourning into dancing…
so that my heart might sing to you and not be silent.
(Psalm 30: 12-13)
Our global cups are overflowing with grief –
Israeli grief, Palestinian grief,
Jewish grief, Muslim grief,
Christian grief –
the latter, at times, caught in the middle
not knowing where or how or whom to console.
Our collective pain and tears are enough
to birth a new path to peace
so that all could one day dance together
celebrating not a victory of one people over another,
but a victory of both
being able to live peacefully and prosperously side by side.

Profoundly written, my friend. Oh that one day soon we can all dance together in victory of all of God’s people. Hope we can talk soon.

It is frightening how polarized the world seems to be.

You summed up a hell of a lot, in one short poem; beautiful, and right on the mark.
