Cool Globes
Chip and I took a little outing today to see the 35 Cool Globes at Camp North End. They wiill soon be out for all to enjoy along Trade and Tryon Streets. It is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day that was this past week and ultimately should be every day.
There is a Jewish tale told of two people who were fighting over a piece of land. Each claimed ownership. After arguing for a long time, they went to their rabbi. After listening, the rabbi, too, could not reach a decision. The rabbi finally said, “Since I cannot decide to whom this land belongs, let’s ask the land.” The rabbi put an ear to the ground, and after a moment stood up. “My friends, the land said it belongs to neither of you – but that you belong to it.”
